5880 Third Street is a mixed-use building in the Bayview. The building consists of an open courtyard, community rooms, and four stories of the 136 modular units, built offsite and assembled on site, supported by a post-tensioned concrete podium slab, over two level of combination of multiple community rooms and a garage. The 136 modular units represent the largest off-site construction project in San Francisco.
The structural system is the post-tensioned concrete slab with concrete shear walls supported by spread footings.
